Tanker 3221

Tanker 3221 is a 1988 Pierce Pumper/Tanker.  3221 is first due to any area that does not have fire hydrants.

The tanker has a 2,500 gallon water tank which provides a large amount of water to attack engines at working fires.  3221 can also act as a secondary attack engine with a 1000 gallon per minute (gpm) pump and several hand-lines and discharges.

The tanker carries a full complement of firefighting equipment and tools.  This includes hand tools, irons, axes, pike poles, ladders, a tool box, and basic spill equipment.  3221 also carries a thermal imaging camera which distinguishes heat levels in front of the camera.  This tool assists in fire suppression by showing heated areas and hot gases and can also be used in search and rescue operations by showing body heat in low visibility environments.  3221 also carries 3 self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA’s) for firefighter use in dangerous atmospheres.

It also carries a 3,000 gallon port-a-tank which can be used during tanker shuttle operations.
