Cascade 3292

Cascade 3292 is a 2004 Ford F-550/Rescue 1 air unit. 

3292 carries a breathing air compressor and four large 6000 psi stored air cylinders.  This allows the unit to fill air cylinders from self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) at fire scenes where an air source would otherwise not be available. 

Breathing air is a valuable resource to firefighting teams at structure fires, hazardous materials incidents, and any other scenario that would necessitate the use of an SCBA. 

The onboard compressor can also fill onboard units on other apparatus, and be used for air powered pumps and air powered rescue equipment.  Cascade 3292 also has an onboard generator for scene lighting and a refrigerator stocked with water and Gatorade for firefighter rehabilitation. 

Cascade 3292 serves the City of Allentown, most of Lehigh county and parts of Berks county.
